The BYD Destroyer 05 DM‑i (55 km variant) is designed for those who want an eco-conscious sedan with flexibility. Its hybrid system allows short-distance driving purely on battery, while the petrol engine extends range for longer journeys.
The electric mode offers up to 55 km of electric-only driving under ideal test conditions. Real‑world range is lower (e.g. ~46 km WLTC/CLTC) in mixed driving. After the battery is depleted or for higher demands (speed, uphill), the petrol engine kicks in seamlessly via E‑CVT, enabling the vehicle to achieve over 1,200 km of total range combining fuel + battery.
